In undertaking this process, we:

  • review the contract and delivery plans;
  • work with senior management and the project team to get an insight into the counterparty and the commercial objectives the business hopes to achieve from the project;
  • workshop contractual and delivery risks with the project team;
  • brief the project team on contractual rights and obligations; risks and opportunities;
  • develop procedures and templates for effective contract administration; and
  • support the project team in implementing the commercial strategy.

We also provide our clients with ongoing support, including Claims Management capacity.

We undertake reviews of claims and potential claim events. We are regularly briefed by senior management where the project team’s capacity is stretched, or communication flows with project teams are not occurring effectively.

Our independent project audits include the following:

  • conduct a project health check;
  • review project planning and record keeping practices;
  • establish the project claims status (approved, pending and yet to submit);
  • undertake a review of the basis of claim and establish contractual entitlements;
  • undertake independent technical review and analysis of key issues and distil strengths and weaknesses, identify evidentiary gaps and entitlement issues;
  • preparation of presentation materials, including graphics, tables and other summaries suitable for senior management review;
  • advise on recommended actions, including changes to record keeping practices, further analysis, recommendations on legal advice, commercial settlement approaches and issue escalation.
