Martyn Cutler
Managing Director

Martyn is experienced in the preparation and management of large and complex claims for time and cost. His core skills lie in his strong understanding of construction law, commercial issues and the analysis of delay, disruption, and acceleration claims, in respect of which he has prepared numerous expert reports. Martyn is regularly appointed as an expert witness on matters concerning delay and disruption.

Martyn’s diverse construction and legal background sees him regularly called upon to advise clients on contentious claims and work closely with legal teams on disputed issues.

Daniel Such
Associate Director

Dan has over 15 years’ experience in construction, specialising in delay and disruption claims. He has provided claims support and independent opinions on numerous matters, and is known for his methodical approach in undertaking delay analysis.

Dan presents and explains findings in a clear manner as he steps through, methodology selection, review the project documents, effect of delay, complexities (such as concurrent delay), the cause and ownership of delay.

Brendan Spratt
Associate Director

Brendan is an experienced commercial and project resource with over 10 years’ experience working with top tier Australian companies. He combines his experience administering construction contracts with his claims preparation expertise to support clients in properly administering their contractual entitlements.

Brendan adopts an analytical approach to claims and disputes, coupling his engineering background with his extensive construction management experience. He understands the importance of managing claims at an early stage to avoid disputes or place a client in the best position for success in dispute resolution.

Alex De Abreu
Associate Director

Alex has over 15 years’ of planning and project controls experience across a range of construction sectors. Throughout his career, he has specialised in claims, predominately focussing on forensic delay analysis in the dispute advisory sector. He has been involved in construction dispute spanning several industry sectors.

Alex is skilled at articulating complex issues with concise drafting and easy to understand modelling. He has been recognised by Who’s Who Legal as a Global Leader for Construction Expert Witnesses and a Future Leader Consulting Experts (Delay). He is regularly appointed as a delay expert and has acted as the lead assistant on several matters across the APAC and AMEA regions.

Hugh Bartsch
Associate Director

Hugh has 15 years’ experience across various roles as a Project Manager, Design Manager and Superintendent. He uses a hands-on approach to assist clients with complex construction matters and commercial disputes.

Hugh is highly skilled in delivering projects across a variety of sectors including commercial, government, retail, infrastructure, civil works, and residential mixed-use. His Master’s degree in Business Law enables him to prepare contract claims and write persuasive positioning statements. A proven analytical problem solver, he turns complex matters into functional solutions.

Gabriella is a skilled legal professional with proven ability in corporate law and dispute resolution across diverse sectors, including healthcare, insurance, and technology.

With a strong foundation in managing complex disputes and regulatory compliance, Gabriella provides clients with strategic guidance to navigate and resolve issues effectively. Her blend of in-house and private practice experience brings a commercial mindset and a diligent approach to each case, enabling clients to minimize risk and achieve optimal outcomes through every stage of the dispute lifecycle.

With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Nick began his career as a carpenter, establishing a robust knowledge of construction industry best practices, building codes, and development application requirements. This background provides Nick with a strong technical foundation for understanding constructability.

His extensive experience in contract management and quantity surveying equips him with a deep understanding of commercial feasibility and the effective management of construction contracts.

With over 7 years of experience in the UK construction industry, Charles brings extensive expertise as a Quantity Surveyor, having worked on significant infrastructure projects across the energy, rail and residential sectors. His MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution enables him to take an innovative, strategic approach to managing and resolving construction disputes.

 

Charles’s background with leading contractors and a broad range of contract forms has developed his strong, multidisciplinary skill set. His commercial acumen and deep knowledge of contractual provisions allow him to maximize value and efficiency for clients across complex projects.

Daniel specializes in analysing claims and disputes, leveraging his aptitude in commercial matters to help clients achieve successful outcomes post claim submissions and adjudication determinations.

Roshaan is a highly skilled Delay Analyst with more than 7 years of experience in the construction industry. With a background in civil engineering, he brings a wealth of expertise to the table for analysing complex construction project schedules. Over the course of his career, he has effectively conducted in-depth delay analyses on a diverse array of projects, encompassing high-value multi-story buildings and infrastructure developments.

Roshaan excels in employing critical path methods and forensic schedule analysis to pinpoint the root causes of delays. His proficiency in this area greatly contributes to supporting dispute resolution by providing precise and thorough analyses.
